ارزیابی خستگی عضلانی؛ ارتباط خطر فاکتورها با اختلالات اسکلتی عضلانی و پیامدهای آن در بین کارکنان صنعت لوازم خانگی

Background and Aim: In the household appliances industry, because of doing work operations such as manually moving pieces by employees, there is the probability of incidence of musculoskeletal disorders and muscle fatigue. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate muscle fatigue and its relationship with the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders among a household appliances factory employees. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study was conducted in 2016 among 150 employees of a household appliances factory. The related data to the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and muscle fatigue were collected by a standard Nordic questionnaire and MFA, respectively, then the data was described and analyzed by employing the logistic regression test. Results: According to the results, the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in lumbar, knees and neck was 33.3%, 25.3%, and 21.3%, respectively. Also, the evaluation results of MFA method illustrated that the risk of muscle fatigue in shoulders, wrists and arms was in the very high level of corrective action in 28.7%, 28%, and 26.7% of the studied employees, respectively. The results of statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between muscle fatigue and the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders. Conclusion: Based on the disorder results in the region of lumbar and risk of fatigue in the shoulder region, the level of risk can be reduced by corrective actions, such as increasing the height of pallets, using a table with adjustable height, and layout of the parts in normal access range.
